Relocation and Immigration – Financial and Business Decisions to Make Before Moving Abroad

12 November 2026 | Thursday | 20:00. Israel Standard Time | Online

Moving abroad? Even before you consider giving up your residency, there are quite a few financial decisions you should make while still in Israel.

What should you do with the business you’re leaving behind in Israel? Can a tax-exempt or licensed business owner continue to operate after the move? What happens to income that continues to be earned in Israel? And what about savings, investments, and bank accounts? And just as important—what should you do with your money? Should you transfer it to your destination country before moving, after moving—or perhaps leave it in Israel?

In this webinar, we’ll sort through the financial and tax decisions you should consider before relocating, and we’ll explore how the choices you make at this stage may impact your financial management down the road. Among other things, we’ll discuss tax planning before leaving Israel, continuing operations for the self-employed and business owners, transferring funds abroad, bank accounts and assets remaining in Israel—as well as the question of residency: When does it become relevant, what is the “center of life,” and what should you do if you don’t yet know whether the move will be temporary or will lead to a permanent life in another country.

The goal is to leave the webinar with a clearer picture of what should be settled in Israel, what can be left for later, and what important questions to ask before moving your life (and your money) to another country.

The webinar will be led by Yaniv Angel, Esq. and CPA. Yaniv is an expert in Israeli and international taxation who advises individuals and companies on tax issues in Israel and cross-border activities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a bachelor’s degree in law, and a master’s degree in taxation with honors. He is a member of the tax committees of the Israel Bar Association and the Israel Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and lectures on tax topics in Israel and around the world.

Yaniv is a co-owner of the consulting firm Auren Israel, part of the international Auren network, which operates through hundreds of offices in dozens of countries around the world.

Webinar is presented in Hebrew.
